Meet Samantha Bievenue
The brain & heart behind Sam’s Creative Impact
Hi! I’m Sam Bievenue
I’m a true ‘90s creative kid, born and raised in Saint Louis (Oakville), Missouri, with a lifelong passion for design, video editing, and storytelling.
My creativity started young—before I even knew what a career was. By age six, I was glued to my grandpa’s 1990s computer, teaching myself how to create videos, animations, and flyers using Microsoft Paint and Windows Movie Maker—pure magic in the early 2000s.
I was obsessed with technology, and my parents took notice. They bought me my own desktop computer with a special video editing processor—because back then, high-powered computers weren’t exactly standard in a family home. I was also privileged to use their original camcorder, and from that moment on, I was:
Recording videos with my friends and family.
Designing school projects, flyers, and digital art for fun.
Mixing audio on Audacity to create dance routines and custom-burned CDs.
Putting together photo slideshows, video montages, and milestone projects for friends, family, and eventually, clients.
My passion for home design started early, too. The Sims wasn’t just a game to me—it was my first interior design simulator. I spent hours designing and styling virtual homes, which eventually grew into a love for real-life renovations, décor, and home styling.
In high school, I fully embraced my creative side. At Oakville Senior High School, I took every graphic design & art class I could find.
My sophomore year was when things really took off—I’ll never forget the day our teacher had us put our projects up on the wall for the entire class to critique. That experience helped me develop a thick skin for creative feedback, something I now appreciate as a professional.
My work was featured in Taste of Saint Louis, an event and showcase that highlighted local talent.
By senior year, I was helping a different teacher lead digital art studies in class because I had mastered the design programs so quickly.
I was also named Best New Staffer in the Yearbook Club as a sophomore and became Photo Editor by junior year.
For college, I chased my dream of working in digital arts. I originally attended Lindenwood University in St. Charles, MO, to study Interactive Media & Web Design, but ultimately graduated from Missouri State University’s Electronic Arts Program in Springfield, MO—an absolute dream for a lifelong creative like me.
I also had the incredible opportunity to become an IMDB-awarded college film producer—a title I still geek out over!
After graduating in 2016, I took the traditional career path—spending 10 years in corporate marketing, where I mastered branding, design, video production, and strategy at a professional & national level.
Then… I took the leap. I left my corporate job to finally build something of my own—a dream I had back in college but wasn’t sure how to pursue. I still remember late-night talks with my roommate about wanting to work from home on creative projects, wondering how to make it happen. I wish I could hug 22-year-old Sam and tell her it was all going to work out.
Now, I run Sam’s Creative Impact, where I help individuals, businesses, and brands bring their visions to life.
Whether it’s brand identity, website design, home styling, video storytelling, or marketing strategy, I bring my lifetime of self-taught expertise and a decade of professional experience to create something meaningful.
This has always been the dream. Now, I’m living it.
Let’s create something impactful together.
Fun Facts About Sam!
My husband and I have a passion for living a sustainable, reduce / reuse / recycle, locally sourced life. It is not easy and it took 2+ years of switching out glassware, cookware, home products, cleaning supplies, and ingredients around the house and in our life but we are very invested in not only taking care of ourselves in this crazy, fast-paced life but also decrease our carbon footprint and continue to a society that cares about the health and well-being of ALL humans, animals, plants, and more!
I am a (March) Pisces through and through… and if you think Astrology is lame, that’s fine…. I have a love for trying to understand myself and others that I interact with. To be known and to be understood is the most beautiful thing one can do.
Potatoes are my favorite food. It is a mission of mine to try all of the french fries around the world (and caesar salads, chocolate ice cream, steak, bacon, seafood pastas… but mainly the french fries).
I also really would love to try all of the pretty coffee shops and cafes around the country and world… always taking recommendations on spots to try. Extra points if my pup, Ollie, can come with us!
I grew up competitive dancing and I miss it so much! Music, dance, art, and being on stage is something that is forever engrained in my personality. Now meet me on the dance floor…
Crime thrillers and exciting works of cinema are what you will catch me watching… I’m sorry, I cannot tell you the last time I watched a RomCom or anything of that sort! I wish I did!
We absolutely love to travel, hike, and learn the culture of cities all around… don’t tempt Bev and I for a good time with backpacks, hiking boots, and the outdoors if you don’t mean it… we WILL check off that National Parks list! But we will also dedicate our time and energy to make sure our pup can join on as many trips as we can manage! Ollie girl has been to the Michigan Dunes, Arkansas Hot Springs, and Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs - can someone say spoiled?
I love the color pink, could you tell? No, the inside of my house is not pink. Pink just makes me happy….. call me the Elle Woods of Graphic Design & Media, if you will. Do you have a color like that for you?
Queen is my favorite musical group. Don’t ask me about country music. Rap, Pop, Soul, Folk… all cool. Oh, I did get to sneakily meet Ludacris while working on Stella Artois’s Hot Ones campaign..… I told him that my husband screamed “move b&*$h, get out the way with his friends in 3rd grade” and we love his music…. he laughed and said tell my husband what’s up….
